FIRST TIME FESTIVAL-GOERS
Festivals are super fun. It is a huge feast accompanied by your favourite bands. You will definetly meet a lot of cool people and get lovely memories that will last for a lifetime. Of course, as on all places that are really crowded, some difficulties may occur and often due to the fact that you are unprepared. Therefore, we are providing you as a first time visitor a small guide, where we have collected some of our best festival tips.
FESTIVAL SITE
All the bands are playing at the festival site, but besides being the place where you can find the fantastic headliners and best new acts, the festival site is all about the sweet atmosphere and has a lot of area activities.
During concerts it can get pretty crowded and straggly in front of the stage and some concerts will have a larger audience pressure than others. If you prefer more space we encourage you to go a bit further away from the stage. You will still be able to see and hear the concert, and your experience as a total will be better if you don’t have to be concerned about the audience pressure.
DRIVING
You will probably not get as much sleep on the festival as you would get at home. Make sure you have a well planned strategy on how to get home. Your driver are to be sober and rested before driving home from the festival. Do not let anyone balmy and tired drive, it is definetly not worth it.
CONSIDER THIS
– Bring a warm sheet, blanket or sleeping bag.
– Bring comfortable shoes, and if it’s supposed to rain, bring boots and/or wellington boots.
– Think comfortable when you are packing your clothes. There will be warm days where you would like to dress a bit cooler, and the other way around. Most festivals are a combination of good and bad weather, so make sure you are well prepared for both weather conditions. Plastic ponchos are great for temporary cloudburst, they are also easy to bring and not too expensive.
– Sunscreen, wet wipes, band aids, aspirins, fluid replacement and a flashlight are small items that are really good to bring with you. Our vendors have a wide range and you can also visit our vendors if you need something that you forgot to bring.
– Drink loads of water! Especially in warm weather. Bring a plastic bottle that you can refill with water at any of our water stations.
FRIENDS
– Stay together and decide upon a spot where you can meet up twice a day. Use this place as your meeting spot if you ever get lost.
– If you can’t find your friends, are tired or anxious, please visit our nursing tent on the festival site or the camping site. They are there to help you.
FIND YOUR WAY
Memorize where your camp is, how your neighbours camps look like, what colour the flag located near your camp has or if there area ny other things you could use as a landmark.
Bring a unique flag for your tent or camp.
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR STUFF
There are, unfortunately, people whose only intention is to steal other people’s items. This happens everywhere and it happens at our festival as well. Therefor we ask you to please keep a track of your stuff and don’t leave anything valuable behind.
– Use pockets with buttons or strong zippers for wallets and cellphones.
– Talk to your neighbors on the camping site and make sure you watch each other’s tents.
SECURITY STAFF AND POLICE
They are all here to look after you, your friends and the rest of our visitors. If you are concerned about something or somebody’s behavior, please inform our security staff as soon as possible so they can solve any possible problem before it occurs.
